The Legacy Marine Chronometer By Thomas Mercer

To tribute the manly Sir Ernest Shackleton and his survival small-boat expedition of 800 nautical miles to the Elephant Island, Thomas Mercer, among the leading brands in nautical timepieces, unveiled the Legacy marine chronomoter. This ultra exclusive chronometer is limited to just 25 pieces of excellence each made entirely by hand and features horological marks like double gimbals, counterbalance free and double lock suspension. The hand-polished stainless steel clock measures 316mm in diameter fitted in a luxurious Ziricote timber base giving the chronometer an extraordinary look perfect for the most demanding desks around the globe. In the inside works a manual-wind Thomas Mercer caliber TM0801 with 17 jewels, 14.400 vph a power reserve of 8 days featuring a ovalising balance with cylindrical weights oscillator, and a mechanical spring with fusee and steel chain system.
