Well known Danish purveyor of premium home theater products, Bang & Olufsen, has now introduced their loot from a foray into clocks, proudly dubbed BeoTime. The BeoTime is a certainly different alarm clock which appearance was forged by Steffen Schmelling and his source of inspiration The Magic Flute by Mozart. Result is a minimalistic aluminum tube with three square displays showing the time, alarm time and wake-up source that has a lot to offer. This device can be fully operated with one push of a button on the ‘flute’s’ end, and furthermore the BeoTime is capable of hooking with other B&O products and to turn them on and off via a wireless connection, thus it becomes a convenient one-button remote and in combination with the sleep timer an universal silencer. As B&O’s high claim for quality dictates, the convenience further extends with a built-in accelerometer allowing the clock to perceive movements which anon activates the displays backlight, changes the orientation of the displayed information and disables the alarm when being shaken around 6 o’clock in the morning.
