The first belt-drive bike – the Trek District

The first belt-drive bike the Trek District

Disctrict, is the name of this pioneer of the bicycle industry. Being the first production bike which uses a noiseless belt-drive instead of a common chain. A carbon fiber composite is the fundament of this drive which grants the advantages of being rust-proof, lube-independent, “lighter-than-any-chain-you’ve-ever-owned” and a nearly silent movement. The Disctrict creates a pretty tasteful appearance with a grey-black-brown contrast of the deep grey colored aluminum frame which gets complemented by the brown leather saddle and handles.
