TAG Heuer‘s indescribable bold design language, in terms of haute horological creations, gained them a truly distinctive reputation, which finds admiration of trophy hunters all over the world. For their 150th anniversary, TAG Heuer realized a masterpiece, named Monaco V4, which over-engineered movement probably presents the 21st century’s first major contribution to watchmaking innovation. The overall open-view construction even offers a glance at the intricate belt-driven mechanics from the front, elegantly interrupted by the striking blue rhodium plated hour, minute and second hands. The intriguing innovation takes place on the backside, where the automatic belt-driven transmission can be admired and its harmonically moving two pairs of barrels in series, set in parallel and linked by belts with Tungstene ingot linear mass. The 40.5mm case is made of platinum with an 18kt white gold crown, and comes with a subtly blued or plain black alligator strap.
