Breathtaking vehicle design, surprising product design, intrepid architectural creations and even trend-giving kitchen concepts are among the lifetime achievements of the legendary Turin-based Pininfarina group. However, one salient industry has remained untouched by their impressive aesthetic sensibility until now, namely the exclusive circle of fine watchmaking. In celebration of Pininfarina’s 80th anniversary, they’ve joined forces with a worthy luxury watch manufacture whose history is comparably spectacular, and they’ve found the Swiss watchmaker Bovet. The collaboration yielded the utterly virile Ottanta tourbillon timekeeper that can be worn proudly on the wrist or stately in the pocket, but always accompanied by astonished glances. The bold 42mm titanium case encloses and intricate 514 parts automatic micro-rotor caliber with 62 jewels and a power reserve of up to 80 hours by 21.600 bph.
