Lotus’ all-new Elan

Lotus’ all-new Elan

Once Lotus’ first commercial success, and the first Lotus to feature a fiberglass composite body, which was back in 1962. Now, Lotus has taken the wraps off of the new Elan including the all-new design language, that is told to bring back classy British elegance. Quite contrary the purist vehicles the British auto manufacturer is famous for, the Elan is prepared for the road and track with complying to todays degree of comfort, in either a roadster typical 2 seat set-up or an optional 2+2 seating configuration. A 450 horsepower, 4L V6 enables the car to let the needle pass the 62 after a scan 3.5 seconds. Further notably is the used KERS-esque hybrid breaking system, recharging a battery while breaking to later power the motor.
