One might say the entry-level BMW, but that just applies to its actual size, the 1 series is by far no blunt car. For the upcoming 2012 revision, BMW spent 128i and 135i a new sharper face and the 128i will be powered by a 3.0-liter V6 with 230-horsepower while its bigger sibling gets a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six with 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft. While both initially feature a manual six-speed, the 135i will always be available with a seven-speed dual clutch automatic. However, both are blessed with BMW’s high-class built quality and technologies like the elaborate iDrive system.
